Summary
Dear Editor, Stephen Hartland, of Birmingham Civic Society, does his case for knocking down the central library no good at all by using such intemperate language - "Our chance to rid city of urban design disaster".
He might find it hard to believe that any sane person would want to keep the existing building, but it tempts some of us to reply that no-one but an incurably moronic vandal would want to knock it down.
