Dear Editor, - Roger Miles' letter last week is as timely as it is important, and his conclusion - as ever - is utterly correct. This is not just another erosion of our liberties, it is a landslide.
What I might add is that this is another example of either indifferent performance by the civil service in the preparation of legislation, or the overweening influence of Ministers and their political advisers on policy and its implementation - or at its worst a combination of both.See the full content of this document
