on the smoking ban in pubs The Shakespeare in Lower Temple Street has been non-smoking for years and I visited it for the first time a couple of weeks ago. There was no lack of atmosphere, the beer tasted great. . . and when I got home I didn't stink of fags, so the wife thought I'd been working late!
on the Tesco development at Hodge Hill Hodge Hill is just another area of Birmingham that has being going down hill for years since they built the Bromford Estate and motorway - so I can't really see if it matters if they blight the landscape even more with a new Tesco store.
