Summary
Dear Editor, -With winter receding and the promise of better weather on the horizon, some Post readers may be contemplating a new activity for the summer. Walking is a great way to exercise and at the same time discover wonderful British countryside.
To help readers on their way Saltley Hillwalking Group are offering training in basic map reading and navigation. The training will take place on April 3 and 4 and will cover the use of Ordnance Survey maps, the compass, route planning and safety. It is free of charge and no prior knowledge or experience is necessary. If you would like to take part contact me on 07944 779 697 or 0121 773 8372. The Group also organises a varied programme of walking throughout the year, and newcomers are always welcome.See the full content of this document
