Summary
Dear Editor, -I have a degree of sympathy with genuine Romany gypsies and travellers who are unable to find suitable sites. However, could somebody explain why there seems to be a need for access to permanent 'accommodation' which requires planning permission when they are supposed to be travellers? If we were to provide sites that require individuals to move on after a set short period (two weeks) then the true Romanies would have what they require and the planning problems would not exist.
I am grateful that party political letters will end after June 11. Democracy is not about party politics as the current membership of Westminster so ably demonstrates.See the full content of this document
