Dear Editor, - We live in times where a quarter of nurses have considered quitting their profession due to attacks or abuse from patients. Worse still, half of hospital staff are afraid of being physically abused at work.
Surely it cannot be right that fire, ambulance or nursing staff attending the same emergency as the police do not have the same legal protection as police officers when attacked by members of the public?See the full content of this document
