Dear Editor, -What splendid news to read that the Grand Hotel has been listed grade ll*. And what better way to learn this than by reading the thoughtful and intelligent letters of Holyoak and Minnis.
I urge anyone who's not too familiar with theGrand to have a closer look at its real glory - not the ballroom - which I'm sure is fine -but the wonderful red brick rear facade by Chamberlain and Martin. I wonder if this helped achieve the two star rating?See the full content of this document
