Summary


Dear Editor, - Yet another attack on the English by somebody with an anti-English axe to grind. Unsurprisingly, it is from an MP representing New Labour, the party which, in Government, is even now, in the face of immense opposition, determinedly dismantling England into spurious regions.

Commensurate with this unwanted English regionalism is the purposeful attempt at removing England altogether from the British psyche. When the late Robin Cook was questioned on The World at One about devolution and a Parliament for Scotland, the interviewer said, "That's all very well, Mr Cook, but what about England?"
