Dear Editor, - Your leader (Post, Oct 4) is a mild, and sensible, poke at the school run. As evidence that the school run is the cause of so much misery it points out the difference between the traffic during term time and school holidays.
But during the school holidays it is not just the children who disappear but their parents (and their company cars) also. Very many parents take holidays at the same time; no wonder the traffic eases off. The school run has little to do with the "M6 car park". For regular M6 travellers it can be a nightmare - one has only to see how many "driver only" cars there are to begin to understand some of the root causes of the problem.See the full content of this document
