Transport is a key issue for the West Midlands and the North West and business investment and housing are shared interests the region has with the South East. Secondly, there are questions that need to be asked about the capacity and democratic accountability of existing regional institutions to deliver shared agendas, develop the political alliances and partnerships that need to be established and maintained long term.
