The former boss of EMI's music division quit the troubled group with a pounds 3.6 million pay-off, it has been revealed.

EMI's annual report yesterday revealed that Alain Levy was handed the multi-million pound cash windfall on top of his pounds 912,000 salary after he was ousted in January amid plummeting sales and a profits warning.
