Today, the school is recognised as Out-t standing by Ofsted - something which the exam results and general attitude around the school reflects.

Ms Quinn, whose husband and sister are also headteachers, was 'a quiet rebel' when she was younger as she hated the convent school she attended in Manchester.

Her dislike of school life sparked a desire to do things differently, to make the classroom an inspirational place to be rather than a depressing one.
