An Iraqi looter was repeatedly beaten and kicked by four British soldiers before being forced into a canal at gunpoint, he told a court martial.

Aiad Salim Hanon, a 25-year-old welder from Basra, was with three other Iraqis trying to steal from a garage when they were caught by Iraqi police and the British soldiers in May 2003.
