A mother and baby had a narrow escape after their car was run off the road by an oncoming lorry, police revealed yesterday.

A 27-year-old woman, from Blythe Bridge, Staffordshire, was driving a silver Peugeot 206 along Roughcote Lane, in Caverswall, Staffordshire, when the car was forced off the road at about noon on Sunday.
