House prices increased by 0.4 per cent during August to sit just below the pounds 200,000 barrier, Britain's biggest mortgage lender said yesterday.
The gain, which was half the previous month's jump of 0.8 per cent, pushed the average cost of a UK home up to pounds 199,770, according to Halifax.See the full content of this document
