The National Association of Pension Funds is questioning the bonus payment received by Luqman Arnold, the chief executive of ailing mortgage lender Abbey National, in 2003.
Mr Arnold was paid pounds 608,000 in cash and given an additional pounds 405,000 in deferred shares, which, in addition to his pounds 675,000 salary, took his total remuneration for 2003 to pounds 1.688 million.See the full content of this document
