Birmingham's pounds 58 million Olympic swimming pool will swallow up part of a nature conservation area and school playing fields, it has emerged.
More than 30 trees will have to be felled and almost 700 sq m of a wildlife corridor which the city council once promised to protect "for future generations to enjoy" will be lost if the pool and leisure complex is built on a site off St Vincent Street, close to the National Indoor Arena in Ladywood.See the full content of this document
