Back in August, few pundits expected that by Christmas, Manchester City would be occupying a top four place in the Premier League. However, Sven Goran Eriksson has managed to create a team which, certainly at home, is attractive to watch and, for the time being at least, unbeatable.

Away from home, they're a different proposition, having registered just one win and scored only seven times, the lowest in the division's top half. City's indifferent away form accounts for Villa's status as Betdaq's 19-17 match favourites, whereas the visitors are offered at 5-2 by William Hill.
