Summary
The numbers of women and ethnic minority lawyers awarded elite Queen's Counsel status has slumped.
According to figures, QC status, or "silk", was awarded to 20 of the 51 women who applied, a success rate of 39 percent. It compared with 33 awards to women last year, which also the highest female success rate on record, at 49 per cent. In comparison, this year's success rate for male applicants was just 28 percent.See the full content of this document
