Darrell Hair has been sacked for carrying out a key law of cricket and it'll be interesting to see if he takes the International Cricket Council to court for unfair dismissal. In my opinion, he should throw the book at those time-servers who decided he was expendable.

Why wasn't Billy Doctrove drummed out of international cricket as well? He was party to the decision at the Oval to dock five runs off Pakistan's score in the belief that they had been tampering with the ball. The umpires work in tandem and their decisions are jointly taken, yet it's only Hair who has been hung out to dry.
