Prime Minister Gordon Brown has sealed a "pact against terror" between the UKand Pakistan, promising pounds 6 million to help the troubled south Asian state tackle extremists.

Three-quarters of the most serious terrorist plots investigated by UK authorities are linked to Al Qaeda sympathisers in Pakistan, Mr Brown told the country's President Asif Ali Zardari during talks in capital Islamabad.
