A bowls club president claimed pounds 60,000 in disability benefits while he was actively playing his sport, running his own taxi business and working as a pall-bearer, a court heard yesterday.

Leslie Webb (61), told the Department for Work and Pensions it took him 10 minutes to walk 50 yards - yet he enjoyed twin careers as a taxi driver and a coffin-carrier, it was claimed.
