Summary
I have recently spent a few days youth hostelling in mid Wales. Unfortunately with our fickle climate I had to contend with one very wet day when the mountain tops were shrouded in rain and mist. So it was then a lowland walk with many interesting things to see and (next day) an upland walk with glorious views in this lovely countryside, within easy reach of the Midlands.
I have a great love and respect for the YHA. The aim of the association has changed little since its inception 70 years ago: 'To help all, especially young people of limited means, to a greater love and care of the countryside, particularly by providing hostels or other simple accommodation for them in their travels.'See the full content of this document
