Stiliyan Petrov believes Aston Villa are a far more organised unit this season and believes the fact they have finally managed to contain the opposition and keep a clean sheet bodes well for the season which recommences at Tottenham next Monday following the international break.

Petrov was singled out for praise by Villa's defence for his work in front of them in the Villa engine room in their goalless draw with Liverpool and looks set to be rewarded for finally finding some consistency in his game with talk of an improved new contract from manager Martin O'Neill.
