Politics: Simon Angry Over Clean Jaguar 'Slur'

Summary


A Yorkshire MP who claimed the Government should boycott Jaguar cars in favour of Japanese vehicles has been condemned by the furious MP whose constituency covers the company's Birmingham factory.

The demand came from Mary Creagh (Lab Wakefield) in the Commons. She said Ministers should "lead by example" by ditching their Jaguars, which are provided for senior members of the Government, for "hybrid" cars made overseas.
