Summary
Aston University recently held their graduation dinner at the university's Lakeside Conference Centre. Held in celebration of the graduation ceremonies, which took place over three days, this particular dinner was poignant in that it was the last one that will be attended by Sir Adrian Cadbury as serving chancellor at Aston - he steps down having served 25 years. He was joined by VIP guests, including his brother Dominic who is chancellor of Birmingham University and Michael Nangle, who holds the same position at UCE as well as being the city's mayor.
The night's special moment came when Stewart Comfort and Eileen O'Toole were awarded the chancellor's medal for services to the university. This was the first time the university's esteemed award has been given to non-academic staff.See the full content of this document
