Private Firms Will Help Nhs

Summary


Fourteen private firms have been approved by the Government to help NHS trusts commission services for their patients.

The list includes big health insurers in the US as well as UK specialists like Bupa and the consulting firms KPMG and McKinsey. Campaigners criticised the move - saying it was a step towards the wholesale privatisation of primary care.
