West Midlands Ambulance Service chiefs have announced that Bransford 999 call centre, near Worcester, is to close next Monday, in a move to consolidate call-handling services.

Campaigners, including Worcestershire residentsandMPs,had threatened legal action and a judicial review on the grounds the closure was "unlawful" but this never reached court.
