Ilove Stratford-upon-Avon and especially the cosmopolitan atmosphere. Walk along the streets (where - to the town's shame - you still have to dodge the cars) and you will hear languages from far flung places and will be grateful that we have such a beautiful and interesting place on our doorstep.
Tourists following the Shakespeare trail have been coming since 1769 when David Garrick held the first festival of the Bard's work beside the gentle Avon. It was a week of drama, rejoicing and fireworks.
