Everyone at the CBSO calls him "Rambo", but, although being impressively built he's not the sort of bloke you would argue with, Peter Harris does not need to use any threats to keep 90-odd musicians in their places.

As platform manager with the orchestra, Peter is responsible for ensuring the correct layout of seating and music-stands, making sure that every player has enough space, and generally smoothing the way so that the orchestra can get on and concentrate on the job in hand.
