Summary


Given the job description of The Wedding Singer and the fact this is set in the 80s, it offered the writers an era's worth of "Now that's what I call a back catalogue" to go at.

However, instead of pillaging the best, or worst, of the decade's power ballads, poodle rock and electronica, lyricist Chad Beguelin and composer Matthew Sklar chose instead to write original songs which nevertheless manage to salute those familiar styles.
