Four years ago Birmingham's Barber Institute bought a tiny but rare and magnificent painting by the Norwegian artist Johan Christian Dahl (1788-1857).
One of only two paintings by Dahl in a British museum, it took the Barber's collection into new and exotic territory without in any way compromising its quality.See the full content of this document
