Australia hooker Jeremy Paul has endured an injury-plagued two years but believes his Wallaby recall proves he is back to his best, writes Duncan Bech. Paul's first major setback was in 2001 when he suffered serious damage to his knee in the opening Test against the Lions in Brisbane, missing the Tri-Nations and spring tour as a result.

He battled his way back into the Australia team but then suffered a rib injury and slipped behind New South Wales hooker Brendan Cannon in the pecking order for the whole of 2003, including the World Cup.
