Newcastle full back Matthew Burke will miss the remainder of the season because of damage to a knee ligament.

The Australian World Cup-winner sustained the injury during last Sunday's 33-20 Premiership defeat to Bath. The 34-year-old ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee midway through the second half.
