Sunday Telegraph: Shares in pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline look cheap after coming under pressure over safety concerns regarding its diabetes drug Avandia. Following the release of a study in the US which linked the drug to an increased risk of heart disease four weeks ago, investors have knocked more than pounds 9 billion off its market value.
The US's Food & Drug Administration has decided Avandia will have to carry "black box" warnings, but analysts believe this will not have much impact on US usage. Investors should not forget the company has a promising pipeline of new drugs. Keep buying at 1296p.See the full content of this document
