Peter Shilton's career featured more silverware than a jewellers' convention and more big games than a television editor. The former England, Leicester City, Stoke City and Nottingham Forest goalkeeper made a record 1,005 League appearances, earned a record 125 England caps and starred in title-winning, European Cup and League Cup wins, as well as the FA Cup final.

But the Football Association's chief guest for Sunday's FA Trophy final at Villa Park says the one piece of advice, hammered home by former manager Brian Clough, that he will pass on to the players of Hednesford Town and Canvey Island will be simple; Enjoy the occasion but treat it no different to any other match.
