Council leaders in Staffordshire have refused to abandon a planned reorganisation of secondary schools in Tamworth despite a change of political control and a last-minute plea from teaching unions.
The National Union of Teachers and NASUWT called on the new Conservative-controlled county council to halt plans to turn Woodhouse School into a privately-run academy and close all sixth forms in Tamworth and open a new post-16 centre.See the full content of this document
