Summary
Death rates following surgery at Coventry's University Hospital and Hospital of St Cross dropped by almost a quarter over the last year, it has been claimed.
The University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust said it has seen a 22 per cent decline in deaths over the past 12 months to 302. This was expected to be 311 for 2006/07.
