Pucker up. Go on. It's one of the sweetest - and funniest - moments in what turns out to be an all too short adaptation of The Little Mermaid tale.

Saturday's crayon, chocolate and squash-heavy Easter tea party at the mac was the ideal starter for Mike Kenny's take on Hans Christian Andersen's traditional tale, brought to life by the team behind last year's Pandora's Box and Christmas show, Pinocchio. The two-handed storytelling team of Flotsam and Jetsam put their heart and sole (sorry) into transforming the mac cinema space into a magical underwater world, with fishes galore, a forest of plants and the beautiful sea king's palace.
