Cable company Telewest Communications has turned in a lower loss for 2003 and said a deal on a much-awaited financial restructuring would be sealed during the next six months.
Telewest which provides television and telephone cable services in parts of Birmingham and the Black Country and agreed to a pounds 3.5 billion debt-for-equity restructuring in September, said it now expected the restructuring to be completed 'late in the second quarter or early in the third quarters of 2004'. The company, the UK's second-largest cable provider after NTL, said yesterday its net loss fell to pounds 272 million from pounds 2.23 billion in 2002, with the previous year's figures weighed down heavily by exceptional charges.See the full content of this document
