The meaning of what it is to be British is becoming somewhat blurred, if a YouGov survey asking people which traditional customs they would be prepared to give up is anything to go by.

Astonishingly, almost half of respondents said they would sacrifice a fried breakfast. Just as worryingly, nearly a third thought they could do without a pint of beer. The health police are clearly having an impact.
