Birmingham-based charity Supporting Independence From Alcohol, SIFA, are celebrating a hugely successful gala dinner which raised more than pounds 6,000 towards vital services helping problem drinkers in the city.

Ex-Manchester United and Aston Villa manager Tommy Docherty made an appearance and The Venerable Hayward Osborne, Archdeacon of Birmingham, was also on hand to lend his support.
