Dear Editor, - I would like to point out some factual inaccuracies in your comment on the industrial action currently taking place in British universities.
Lecturers have not been offered 16.6 per cent over two years, as you suggested. If I was offered 16.6 per cent over two years I would be celebrating and urging my union to end the action. Rather, we have been offered just 10.87 per cent in cash terms over three years - a worse offer than that already presented by St Andrews and Aberdeen universities to their staff in an attempt to end the deadlock.See the full content of this document
