Unions have won a 'significant shift' in Labour Party policy after a weekend of hard bargaining over pensions, employment rights, holidays and jobs.

Talks between leaders of the biggest trade unions and Government Ministers ended at 3.30am yesterday and will lead to the prospect of big improvements in workers' rights.
