Warwickshire absorbed a pulverising 64 off 40 deliveries by Jack Manuel, the 17-year-old Worcestershire opening batsman, to embark on an eight-match Second XI Trophy group programme with a six-wicket win with four overs in hand at Dorridge CC yesterday.
Manuel, with powerful and well-timed strokes bringing him nine fours and four sixes, took Worcestershire to 93 when he was third out after a mere 8.5 overs.
