Walsall defender Rhys Weston is urging the Saddlers to build upon their unexpectedly successful first season back in the League One and hopes new manager Jimmy Mullen will be able to bring in the players who can fire the club into the play-offs next season, writes Rob Tanner.

Weston was a consistent figure at right back asWalsall took everyone by surprise by occupying a play-off berth for most of the season until they fell away towards the end of the season and the 27- year-old is confident that despite losing manager Richard Money and nearly half the squad, the Saddlers can maintain their challenge under Mullen.
