Wheel-maker Titan Europe has shed hundreds of jobs since the turn of the year after falling into a half-year loss.

The Kidderminister-based engineering group has told investors that sales have fallen by 35 per cent compared with the first half of 2008, and more than a third of its workforce has been cut since the beginning of the year.
