Assa Abloy, the world's biggest lockmaker, has stood by its outlook for 2008 and said there will be no change in its growth and profitability targets.

The Swedish company, whose UK operations are based at Willenhall in the Black Country, repeated in a statement yesterday that sales growth for comparable units and currencies was expected to be positive in 2008, but could be lower than three per cent depending on how the business cycle developed.
