Black Country MP David Winnick has led opposition to plans to increase the length of time police can detain terror suspects without charge.
The Government is set to extend the 28-day period police are allowed to hold suspects, it was reported yesterday. It will propose new laws allowing the Home Secretary to give police permission to detain suspects for an extra 30 days, in extreme cases.See the full content of this document
