Summary
Dear Editor, I am not surprised that Labour took a trouncing on Sunday night. I was a member of the party from 1992 to 2003 and I have to say that it always seemed a little unreal when I belonged to it as New Labour began spinning and trashing Old Labour values bit by bit. Now we see the conclusion of the New Labour project. I voted UKIP in the election and I see they did well in the West Midlands.
On another note, I looked around my old home territory of Wolverhampton yesterday afternoon whilst waiting to go to the theatre. I was sad to see many former proud and thriving businesses and buildings boarded up and decaying and the old Eye Infirmary where I learned my nursing skills in the early 1980s unused and again derelict.See the full content of this document
